A game you play on your feet

Find A Brainrot

Walk, catch and care together.

32 very silly creatures are hiding on the streets around you. Walk up, catch them on the map or through the camera in AR, and look after them at home.

How it plays

1

Hunt

Open the Hunt tab outside. Brainrots appear on the map near you, and there is always one close to where you stand, so there is never a reason to chase one across a road.

2

Catch

Walk up close and tap Catch. Rarer ones are harder to hold; tools from the Shop help.

3

Care

Every brainrot gets a room at home. Feed it, water it and play with it and it earns coins; forget it and it faints (a revive token brings it back).

32 brainrots, and counting

Every one of them is out there somewhere. Some turn up on every corner; a few you will talk about for weeks.

Every catch gets a room at home

Feed it, water it and play with it and it earns coins. Coins buy tools, decorations and more rooms. Nothing costs real money.

  • Trades. Swap brainrots with friends, coins on top if you like.
  • Quests. Three to do each week, and journeys that take as long as they take, with medals.
  • Leaderboards. Everyone who plays, ranked; the top ten of each board win coins on Sunday night.
  • RotBoxes. Tap one open before the clock runs out and see what was inside.
  • Lucky Blocks. Caught sealed, opened later, any rarity at all.
  • Your base in AR. Your rooms as a building in your own room, through the camera.

Made for families

Grown-ups and kids play together. You make the account; kids get profiles with a PIN, and you hold the controls.

  • Kids never enter an email or a password, and nobody can find them by search.
  • They add friends by friend code, and every request waits for a grown-up's yes.
  • Kids send preset phrases and stickers. Only you and your own kid can type to each other.
  • No ads. No purchases. No tracking. The game never keeps a history of where anyone has been.
  • Grown-ups see how every kid is doing, and a Sunday summary lands in your inbox if you want one.

Outside, the rules are short

Read this part with your kids. The game only ever needs you to be where you already are.

  • Look up. Never walk, cross or stop while looking at the phone. Spot the brainrot, put the phone down, then walk.
  • Streets, driveways and car parks are not part of the game. If a brainrot is across a road, leave it. Another one will appear on your side.
  • Younger kids play with a grown-up, and everyone plays in daylight and decent weather.

Questions

Which phones does it work on?

Any phone with a browser, today, at app.findabrainrot.com. The iPhone app, with the AR views, is on its way to the App Store. Android plays on the web.

Does it cost anything?

No. It is free, there is nothing to buy with real money, and there are no ads.

Do kids need an account?

No. A grown-up makes the account, then adds a kid profile with a name, an avatar and a 4-digit PIN. A kid's own phone joins with a code from your Settings, never an email or a password.

Does it track where we are?

The map needs your position while you hunt, and that is all it is used for. Nothing is stored, and sharing where a kid is with approved friends stays off until you switch it on.

How many brainrots are there?

32 right now, and new ones arrive. The rare ones are rare: you will know when you meet one.

Ready to go outside?

A grown-up makes the account in a minute. Then open the Hunt tab, step out of the door, and see who is waiting on your street.
